Tropical depression - typhoon in the Philippines

In the morning, there were still no clouds in the sky, and in the hope that our friend was mistaken when he said that navigation was closed, we hurried to the village of Liloan, from which ferries go to Panglao Island. While we were on the bus, the sky was overcast, and even a light rain began to fall, but we did not observe anything unusual that could be a typhoon.

On the pier, near the small building of the marine station, people were already sitting on all sorts of bales and suitcases. We were already happy - since the local Filipinos are waiting here, it means there will be a ferry soon. After asking the workers, we found out that there would be a ferry, but we would have to wait a little, maybe three days…

Immediately, workers began to deploy awnings from the rain, bring chairs, in general, preparing for a long wait. The rain gradually intensified and after trampling for about an hour near the port, we decided that it would be better to return to our bamboo hut and hope that it would not be blown away by the wind.

Khao Sok National Park, Thailand

Khao Sok is the place in Thailand where we definitely wanted to go. One of the largest national parks in Thailand, also with a very beautiful lake.
By the way, the lake has a rather interesting story - in 1982 a dam was built and over time this lake was formed. It has destroyed a large area of rain forests under its waters, but at the same time it is now one of the main attractions.

The capital of Thailand: Bangkok in 1 day

We arrived in Bangkok in the evening by bus from Siem Reap. And we went to a pre-booked hotel. The next day we went for a walk in the old part of Bangkok.

We started our journey through Bangkok from a street known to many travelers — Khaosan Road. It is here, in the area called Talat Yot, and in the surrounding areas, that the doors of guesthouses and hotels are always open for people coming to Bangkok.

Travel notes: Malaysia and Borneo island

закат над тропическими островами

Here we are in Malaysia.

From Manila, we flew to Kota Kinabalu, the capital of Sabah, which is located on the island of Borneo (Kalimantan).

Malaysia greeted us with torrential rain, but since we arrived at 2 a.m., we decided to wait at the airport in the morning. By morning, the rain had stopped, and the sun appeared in the sky.

We took a minibus to the city.
